Hey Everybody!
Long time no see and hear!! Miss ya'all so very very very much! Hope you all have been well and using your free time now wisely!! For me, I decided to go explore the coporate world.. And guess what? I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT! :( Anybody have the same sentiments? wahhaa:p
My first job was a server at some restaurant (don't want to name it lest they sue me!).. Eeli, Lia, Cam, Van, George, Kim, Lilian and many others would noe where;) I made a lot of friends there.. but I hated the so-called 'higher ups' in that restaurant (you know the ones they call managers) And I believe George would identify with me! ;) wahhaa:p Anyways, to cut the long story short, I decided there and then: I DON'T WANNA BE STUCK WORKING FOR OTHER PEOPLE!!! IT SUCKS!!! TRUST ME... wahhaa:p
Well, you see, after that.. I didn't really learn my lesson.. After I resigned from my first job, I was enticed by another offer another company gave me (the money was not much really, now i realised).. I STUPIDLY signed some contract and got stuck again for 1 and a half months.. It was HORRIBLE:S Everyday was the WORST day of my life! wahaha:p (come to think of it, it was really hilarious because half the time I was dozing off at work:p oops! Lia could vouch for that because I msged her to tell her how boring it was, right sister? wahaha:p) no free time for family, no free time for myself.. no waking up late (that was the worst for me at least).. boohoohoo:( I would have died:S Then I realise my friends there are no better off than me! The friends I made there told me they signed 2 year contracts! And when I asked, "How did ya survive?" they laughed shrugged their shoulders, "What to do? I got a family to feed! No choice!" But there IS a choice and they have chosen it! Would you have chosen the same? Furthermore, there IS lots to do that can totally transform their lives.. You see my friends.. It's not about WHAT you do, it's about HOW you do it! Those millionaires out there don't start being millionaires.. they were once like us!
From this 2 experiences, I ask myself, "Do I really want this kind of lifestyle? To slog for THE BOSS Monday to Friday for the REST OF MY LIFE and all I get is a fixed income while THE BOSS gets the BIG money? " The answer I gave myself was a BIG RESOUNDING NO! And mind you, I WILL live to a ripe old age of 120.. So if I start work after uni at, say, 22 years young, that would be slogging for about 98 years? Even if I retire at, say, 60, that will be about 38 years of sweat and blood! After that, what happens when I retire? My income stops after I retire and I don't think my CPF or savings could support me another 60 years! So what is there for me in the future then? Is there another way? (Now, I know some cheeky people will ask me.. you live so old for what? well, I want it that way! wahhaa:p)
Thank God for my parents! They brought me to an event called National Achiever's Congress 2007:) Anybody heard of it before? It's an event held every year where world famous speakers (only millionaires are qualified to speak at this event) are invited to speak! Their massive knowledge astounds me! It inspired me to THINK BIG! And I realised that there is more to making money than just getting a degree, finding a good job.. I know it sounds cliche but it is a FACT! Anyways, I'll tell more to those who wanna know more about this event if you come ask me personally:) My point is, I learnt from the Gurus that there are so many other ways to make money in this society! And one of them is a business I'm in now: NETWORK MARKETING:)
Network Marketing is a business most often misunderstood by people. People think it's no different from pyramid selling but it is DIFFERENT! :) Network marketing is about helping people to achieve financial freedom.. to help people retire with grace and more... The keyword is: LEVERAGE. The company I am involved in is the company NEWAYS.. Most of you would have caught a glimpse of my unique looking bottle that says MAXIMOL in the front? I remember people asking me why you bring a bottle of petrol or detergent to school? wahhaha:p NO.. the bottle does not contain petrol nor detergent.. It is a actually a supplement drink produced by my comapny:) Besides this, Neways also produced home care products like shower gels, shampoos and all neccessities. This is the Neways Mission:
As you can read, it is about helping people, helping yourselves and your families at the same time! That's why it can be one of the most successful companies in Japan! Fundamentally, it just takes you to spread the word to 3 persons and you will see AMAZING things happen in your life:)
Lastly, I want to end my post with an inspiring video reccommended by my dearest papa. This video introduces the fundamental concept of network marketing, of spreading the message and helping people. It is not about paying back, it's about paying it FORWARD:)
